Take 2015 by sartorial storm by trying on something new next time you hit the shops. Fresh frock, fresh mind.. right? I’m 90% sure that’s how the saying goes. Anyway, that resolution we all made to spend less money; well it isn’t going very well. But who cares, because flares are making a comeback and that’s the best fashion news I’ve had since ‘bed-head’ became a legit hair style.
Think 70′s
Yeah you heard right, bell-bottom trousers are no longer fancy dress. We’re well aware this look won’t be for everyone, but before you turn your nose up at a wider leg; think back to a time when you thought ‘mom jeans’ were quite literally a joke. Flares are happening, embrace them.

Put a lid on it
Hoards of wide brimmed hats were spotted flip-flopping on hundreds of heads throughout the 2014 festival season and they’re continuing to have their moment this year. Find yourself a wide brimmed fedora for a hat that will transition from winter through to spring. Or if you’re feeling brave, try channelling some Stevie.

Dapper denim
You think of denim, you think jeans right? WRONG! Think denim shirts, denim dungarees, denim dresses, and the rest. The Spring 2015 runways were full of it, clean and crisp smart indigos to ripped, jeweled and patched wash-outs. Just avoid anything resembling that Justin and Britney look of 2001.

Shirtdress essentials
Practical, comfortable, sexy and timeless. If that isn’t a good reason to buy something I really don’t know what is. Throw it over jeans, leather look leggings, hell if you’re feeling foxy wear it on it’s own. Particularly good for those gin-hazed mornings when you need to look semi-respectable for a meeting but can’t navigate your wardobe without gagging.

Comfy shoes
Praise the high lords of fashion, or whoever it was that decided I can wear trainers all day every day to almost every occasion, even with a dress. Wait, maybe it was Lily Allen? Save your stilettos for a special occasion. This year is all about flats, sneaks and sliders. Your feet will thank you for it.
